Zachary Specht, PT, DPT, CSCS

Physical Therapist

A small town native from Marcus, Iowa, Zach was a multi-sport athlete throughout high school
which included football, basketball, baseball, golf, and track. Zach’s love for activity and team
sports continued beyond high school as he played wide receiver for four-years at the collegiate
level. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Southwest Minnesota State
University in Marshall, MN, while gaining experience in movement analysis, nutrition, and
health and wellness. Zach went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Des Moines
University in Des Moines, IA.

Zach’s passion for physical therapy stems from his desire to provide support, education, and
wellness activity to community individuals. Areas of interest include understanding the body’s
natural healing process and the effects of exercise to drive improved function. Throughout his
coaching, volunteer, and work experience, Zach has worked with various age groups to build
positive relationships, improve performance, and minimize injury.

Zach is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the National
Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning
Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and is certified in the application of Blood Flow
Restriction training.

Zach enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active, attending sporting events,
hunting, fishing, and helping on the farm.
